Now that we're finally in the Winter season, it is easy to stay in the house! This means feeling more tired, which makes us less productive, and less likely to follow your typical schedule. Between the cold weather and it being dark at 4:30 pm, we are tired and OVER IT! However, this lack of productivity, can affect our happiness, how we feel, and our wellbeing. Despite the seasonal changes, there are changes we can make that are small but definitely a big deal to help us stay engaged, active, and enhance our mood. These changes are:

  1. Wake up earlier.  Having a healthy amount of sleep has been linked to a positive and better mood. It also gives you a chance throughout your day to organize your day and schedule so you aren't rushing or behind schedule, giving you a more relaxed and calm day. So try going to sleep by 10 pm, as it is more realistic to do, making it a good balance, and you can still get up around 6-6:30 AM, to be prepared for your day.

  2. Drink water and take vitamins. When you wake up, drinking water activates the body and vitamins nourish your body giving you essentials needed daily, that will glide you through your day. I enjoy taking Olly Heavenly Hair and Daily Energy gummy vitamins.

  3. Eat a healthy breakfast. Eating a solid breakfast to start your day off is always going to do the job! It gets your metabolism moving, giving you energy, which helps you to be sharper. Daily, I enjoy oatmeal, which I like to make exciting by adding fruits, spices, and honey with a side of Ginger tea.

  4. Be presentable. That saying "when you feel good, you look good" is true and don't let anyone tell you different! Even if you work from home, doing your hair and putting on a cute outfit, can make all the difference of how you feel. When you look in the mirror, you'll get a satisfaction, knowing how good you look throughout the day, which will automatically make you happy.

  5. Manage your time and organize your day. Now that you have done the steps above, you have some time to organize your schedule. This helps you to be stressfree and it also allows you to manage your time, so you don't have to rush anywhere.
